Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy explains how VideoBGRemover handles information when you use videobgremover.net.

Information we handle

• Account data: your name, email address, account identifiers, sessions, and credit balance.
• Video data: the videos and optional background images you upload, selected clip range, processing status, and generated output.
• Payment data: product, order, customer, refund, and dispute identifiers. Hosted checkout providers process payment-card details; we do not store full card numbers.
• Operational data: IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, security events, and error logs needed to operate and protect the service.
• Analytics data: page views, referring pages, approximate location, device and browser details, clicks, scrolling, navigation, and masked session-replay data.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, upload and process your video, maintain job and credit state, provide downloads, process purchases and refunds, measure traffic and product usability, improve the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use an uploaded video to train our own model.

Video processing and storage

Your browser uploads video bytes directly to protected object storage using a short-lived signed URL. A time-limited storage URL is then provided to the background-removal processor. Generated results are copied into protected object storage before they are made available in your account.

Processing necessarily discloses the selected video to our inference provider. Do not upload content you are not authorized to process.

Inputs, temporary processing files, and failed or abandoned uploads may be deleted automatically as part of storage and operational cleanup. Verified results may remain available to your account until they are deleted under our retention or account-deletion procedures.

Service providers

We currently use service providers for:

• application hosting and delivery;
• PostgreSQL account, job, and credit records;
• protected object storage;
• AI video background removal; and
• hosted checkout and payment webhooks when purchases are available;
• Google Analytics 4 for traffic and usage measurement;
• our self-hosted Plausible Analytics service for aggregate website statistics; and
• Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and masked session replays.

These providers process data only as needed to supply their services and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

Security

We use authenticated routes, short-lived signed storage URLs, restricted service credentials, signed webhook verification, and access controls. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices

You may update or delete your account through account settings where available. You may also ask about access, correction, deletion, or other rights that apply in your jurisdiction. Browser settings, content blockers, and analytics opt-out controls may be used to limit non-essential measurement.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
