Remove an ordinary recorded background
Separate a clearly visible subject from a room, office, or outdoor scene without drawing masks frame by frame. A green screen is optional, not required.
AI video background remover
Upload your video, remove the background, and get a transparent clip with motion and audio preserved—ready to preview, download, or place over a new scene.
Real output
Compare an original frame with an actual processed clip. The checkerboard shows the transparent area preserved in the download. Use the same check on your own clip, because fine detail and motion can change edge quality from frame to frame.

How it works
Choose the footage you want to reuse. Its media details are checked before anything is uploaded.
Select the useful section. Credit use follows the seconds you choose, and the workbench checks your access before processing.
Inspect the subject over transparency or a new backdrop, compare it with the original, and download a suitable finished clip.
Less masking, more making
Upload, process, inspect, and export in one focused workflow, with the result and next step kept clear at every stage.
Separate a clearly visible subject from a room, office, or outdoor scene without drawing masks frame by frame. A green screen is optional, not required.
Turn the selected section into a transparent video while keeping its movement and expected audio. The completed master is checked before it is marked ready.
Compare the source and result, then view the subject over a checkerboard, solid color, or your own image before choosing an export.
Once a job starts, it continues in the background. Close the page if you need to, then return with the same account to review the saved result.
Use cases
Remove the recorded scene once, inspect the subject, then place the transparent clip into the layout your project needs. Footage with a distinct subject and useful contrast is the best starting point.
Remove a room or office scene, then place the presenter over a website, slide, tutorial, or branded layout.
Separate a clearly visible product or presenter and preview it over the background used in the final design.
Create a reusable presenter clip for instructional pages, decks, and visual explainers without setting up a studio.
Prepare short transparent clips for landing pages, promotional layouts, composited ads, and social creative.
Flexible outputs
Start with one processed subject, then choose the output that fits your website, editor, or finished video.
Download a transparent WebM for product pages, demos, tutorials, and layouts where the subject needs to sit naturally on the page.
Export an eligible transparent clip as ProRes 4444 MOV and carry the alpha channel into a compatible editing workflow.
Place the subject over a color or your own image, preserve the audio, and export a standard MP4 for everyday playback.

Plans
For members
Active members can add extra non-expiring processing credits whenever their included monthly credits run low.
1 credit = 1 second of successful processing. Failed or canceled processing returns reserved credits. Creator supports up to 5 minutes per video, Pro up to 15 minutes, and Studio up to 30 minutes. Top-ups add usage time without changing that per-video membership limit.
FAQ
Clear answers about upload formats, transparency, exports, credits, scene quality, processing, and file access.
A video background remover separates the main subject from the recorded scene across the frames of a video. VideoBGRemover creates a transparent result that you can preview, download, or place over a color or image.
No. The tool is designed for ordinary video backgrounds. A clearly visible subject, useful contrast, and limited motion blur can help produce a cleaner result.
You can upload MP4, MOV, and WebM files encoded with H.264, HEVC, or VP9. The tool checks the media details before upload and explains when an input is unsupported.
Credits follow the number of selected seconds. The workbench checks the clip against the processing range available for your account before it starts. If your balance is too low, you can add credits and continue.
The processing request preserves audio. When the source contains audio, the completed transparent master is checked for the expected audio before the job is marked ready.
The primary transparent download is a WebM with VP9 alpha. Eligible clips up to 10 seconds and 1080p can also be exported as transparent ProRes 4444 MOV. If you choose a solid color or static image background, you can export a composited MP4.
Yes. Preview the processed subject over a solid color or your own JPG, PNG, or WebP image, then create a composited MP4. Dynamic video backgrounds are not currently supported.
Yes. Once processing has started, the job continues in the background. Return with the same account to check its status and review the result.
No AI separation tool can promise a perfect result for every frame. Transparent objects, fine fast-moving details, motion blur, reflections, and multiple fast-moving subjects can be difficult. Preview and compare the result before using it in a final project.
The job shows a failed state instead of presenting an unusable result. Credits reserved for a processing or system failure are returned.
Uploads and completed results are kept in private storage. Preview, download, and export requests require the signed-in account that owns the job. A background-removal provider processes the selected video.
